Write factual copy. Explain what the product or service is designed for. Explain it’s flaws. Give your honest opinion (as an expert) Offer alternatives (where available)

Don’t be afraid to recommend another product or service, even if you do not offer it yourself. Web visitors are people who appreciate honesty and they will come back to your site time and time again.

Your reputation as a ‘trusted’ resource in your industry will soon spread and the rest will take care of itself.
